About the Conrads

Family- Doug and Cheryl met at Bethel College in Minnesota, USA. They were married in 1986. 10 years later, God blessed them with the adoption of Christopher. Two years later, Benjamin joined our family in the same way. Recently as of 12/05 Ohka has come to live with us.

Doug was born and raised in Japan, son of Dr. Stan and Joyce Conrad (EFCA-IM missionaries in Japan for over 40 years). Cheryl was born in St.
Paul,MN. amd her father was a pastor for over 35 years in the Baptist General Conference.

Christopher is in 5th grade and enjoys drawing, music, and sports. Recently he has started to play the drums.

Benjamin is in 4th grade and loves all sports as well as trying his hand at some magic tricks.

Ohka is in preschool and is adapting very well to our family. Not knowing any English when she came to us she is now as fluent as any normal English speaking 5 year old. She loves her teacher and painting, singing and reading books.

The kids attend Fukuoka International School where Cheryl teaches 2nd grade.
